Young Designers to Present Ideas at Ambiente

FRANKFURT, Germany-Young designers will present new concepts for seasoning, preparing and serving food in the Dining area of the Ambiente trade fair in February.
The Talents area in Hall 4.0 will host twelve designers and design studios from China, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands and the Slovak Republic. Korea's Lee Sanghyeok has created the "Joy of Cooking Together," the title of his range of musical kitchen accessories. Toni Baumann brings the flavors of fresh herbs directly to the table with a collection of natural wood and ceramics, including an herb mill for finely chopped herbs, a vase for decoratively serving herbs, and a spice grinder together with a small bowl for dried ingredients. And the Peelpride range by Holland's Rianne Koens covers the entire process from peeling, through drying to milling, sprinkling or sieving. There will also be several presentations of traditional tabletop items rethought in non-traditional ways.
Messe Frankfurt, owner and organizer of Ambiente, has also announced that its trade fair Tendence will be reduced to four days, from Saturday to Tuesday, Aug. 24-27, 2013 and that it will increase promotional measures in the markets of Central, North and East Europe. Tendence has already been able to attract a significantly larger number of Eastern European visitors over recent years, according to Messe Frankfurt. "The level of visitor satisfaction with Tendence has been consistently high over recent years and we aim to do everything possible to ensure this remains so in the future, too. Hence, we have clearly positioned Tendence as an order and inspiration platform", said Detlef Braun, member of Messe Frankfurt's executive board.
