Anolon Returns as Edible Garden Sponsor

VALLEJO, Calif.-Meyer Corp.'s Anolon brand of cookware and kitchen products will return as a sponsor to The New York Botanical Garden's Edible Garden Cooking series, which communicates the importance of using garden-fresh ingredients in home cooking. Now in its third year as sponsor, Anolon will host a series of cooking demonstrations in the Family Garden Kitchen, which is fully equipped with Anolon gourmet cookware, bakeware, cutlery, tools and gadgets.

Running through Oct. 17, the Edible Garden series will include cooking demonstrations from Mario Batali and chefs from his restaurants in the Family Garden Kitchen during the weekend of Sept. 24 and 25. On Oct. 8, there will be educational harvest cooking demonstrations from Anolon. Anolon Nouvelle Copper and Anolon Nouvelle Copper Stainless Steel lines are the featured cookware in the Family Garden Kitchen.

"We are delighted to be the presenting sponsor of the Edible Garden Cooking series, which teaches thousands of families about the benefits of growing and cooking fresh seasonal produce," said Suzanne Murphy, vice president, Meyer Corporation, U.S. "Our partnership with The New York Botanical Garden perfectly aligns with our brand's educational campaign, Creating a Delicious Future with Anolon."

As part of its partnership with The New York Botanical Garden, Anolon is also offering visitors to the Garden's web site, nybg.org, a chance to win an array of Anolon cookware, bakeware, cutlery, tools and gadgets in a special on-line promotion, "What's That Cooking Tool?" The promotion continues through the end of October.
