Boston Warehouse Acquires GKI/Bethlehem Lighting

Largest acquisition in Boston Warehouse’s history

Boston WarehouseNORWOOD, Mass.-Boston Warehouse Trading Corp. has acquired the assets of GKI/Bethlehem Lighting Central Garden & Pet Co.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed in a statement from Boston Warehouse, but Peter Jenkins, the company’s president, said it is the largest acquisition in its 40-year history. “We believe Boston Warehouse and GKI/Bethlehem Lighting strengths will complement each other and offer our customers continued innovation in our categories of business,” Jenkins said.

Boston Warehouse supplies housewares and giftware products, including kitchen tools, cleaning tools, tumblers and organizing products. GKI/Bethlehem Lighting is a vendor of seasonal décor products such as prelit trees, wreaths and garlands.

“We are thrilled to be joining the Boston Warehouse team and are excited to continue to focus on the flameless candle business and the commercial market,” said Jim Wenz, general manager of GKI/Bethlehem Lighting. “We believe there are a lot of synergies between our two companies and we feel that there is a bright future ahead.”
