Ristow Tabbed as BrandSource CEO

TUSTIN, Calif.-The BrandSource board of directors has named Jim Ristow as its new CEO, effective Jan. 1.

Ristow will succeed Bob Lawrence, who has served as CEO since 1994. Lawrenc will stay with the company in an advisory role for a year, assisting with the transition. Ristow joined BrandSource in 1999 and most recently has served as executive vice president of consumer electronics and co-president and chief business officer of ProSource, BrandSource's consumer electronics buying group.

Jeff Zeglin, BrandSource's chairman, said, "Jim has a tremendous aptitude for leadership and is highly respected by his colleagues for his ability to offer strategic thinking and keen insights on the latest retail and industry trends. These attributes along with a genuine passion for this industry, make him an ideal choice."
