Surya Partners with East Meets West Foundation

CALHOUN, Ga.-In lieu of a holiday gift to its customers and representatives, Surya has donated to the East Meets West Foundation's Scholarship Program to Enhance Literacy and Learning (SPELL), which gives multi-year scholarships, school supplies and tutoring support to impoverished children. Surya gave the gift under the names of its top 750 customers and all 50 of its representatives.

"We want to continue to support, and give back to the communities who are creating our area rugs, in the name of our customers," said Satya Tiwari, president of Surya. "We want to reduce the levels of school dropout rates by providing full funding for students who otherwise cannot afford school."
