Amazon to Open Georgia Fulfillment Center

SEATTLE—Amazon.com has set plans for a new fulfillment center to be opened in Braselton, Ga., expanding its operations in that state.
The 600,000-square-foot facility will package and ship items, among which will be home décor, sporting equipment and gardening tools. When it opens (a date for which was not specified in an Amazon statement), it will employ about 500 people. Currently, Amazon has 1,500 employees in Georgia.
