Buyers Brave Winter Storms at Gift & Home Textiles Market Week

NEW YORK-In spite of a wicked snowstorm that struck this area last week, the 7 W New York showroom building said the Gift & Home Textiles Market Week was "an upbeat and productive market" in terms of buyer attendance and business in its showrooms.

Chris Collins, the building's vice president and general manager, said the vendor-tenants enjoyed "high-quality meetings and ... significant order writing." In a 7 W New York statement, a number of vendor executives echoed Collins' assessment, speaking of "a lot of order writing" and "a steady stream of appointments."

The Gift & Home Textiles Market Week at 7 W New York featured, among other events, one-on-one consulting from Christina Norsig, an expert on pop-up shops in retailers; a number of in-suite events; a Holiday Shopping Stroll; and Showroom Spotlight prize drawings.
