In particular, more and more hard-anodized cookware is now dishwasher-safe as the technology continues to develop.
Meyer Corporation U.S. has several dishwasher-safe, hard-anodized cookware lines, including Anolon Authority, which was introduced at the end of last year. “It was important for us to come out with a dishwasher-safe hard-anodized line for Anolon, because we live by the rule of listening to our consumers,” said Jeffrey Kruskall, vice president, business development at Meyer Corporation, U.S. “Our research shows that consumers are looking for dishwasher-safe [cookware], as they are time starved and looking for ease in the kitchen.” The company declined to comment on the type of coating used.

“As we developed our Sapphire line, we believed it was important to differentiate ourselves to add all the features we could to the product, including a dishwasher-safe exterior, oven-safe design and all stove-top capable to include induction,” said Jason Vaske, Bialetti’s marketing director at Bradshaw. “We then added the slight blue hue to the interior and exterior of the cookware to create a cookware line that was uniquely Bialetti.”
Groupe SEB’s All-Clad brand is launching the All-Clad NS1 nonstick collection this month exclusively at a nationwide specialty retailer. The hard-anodized collection includes 10 SKUs in items with an induction base, and 6 SKUs of specialty cookware, all dishwasher-safe.
Clipper Corp. has incorporated dishwasher-safe construction across all of its brands, as “convenience is important in today’s busy life,” said Jeff Malkasian, executive vice president, licensed brands, Clipper Corp. That includes most of its new “Chopped” licensed cookware, which will hit retail this January.
“Speed is one cornerstone of the Chopped competition and dishwasher-safe products deliver on the premise of speed and usability,” Malkasian said. “Being able to put a pan in the dishwasher makes cleanup easier, giving the home chef more time to focus on creating a great meal.” The line includes aluminum cookware with a hard-anodized look as well as a brushed aluminum.
