Welcome to Chicago and the 2015 International Home + Housewares Show
The Board of Directors and the professional staff of the International Housewares Association welcome you to the 118th convening of our industry at the International Home + Housewares Show at McCormick Place. For 76 years, IHA has been sponsoring this global marketplace in Chicago, which is the premier home products show in the world. Each year, we recruit innovative suppliers from around the world, adding more than 400 new companies at the 2015 Show.
Along with viewing the thousands of products on display, we invite you to Discover Design, featuring more than 100 suppliers showcasing new products on the leading edge of the design spectrum. The Discover Design Gallery gives buyers a museum-like peek at the exhibitors’ offerings. And be sure to see the winners of the IHA Innovation Awards in the Hall of Global Innovation.
Other must-see destinations this year include Savor Home, a revitalized entertaining destination located in the Gourmet Food + Specialty Products category and featuring design-inspired wine accessories, gourmet food products and home entertaining themes. Nestled between Discover Design and Tabletop, smells beckon and tastes abound in Savor Home, where you will find everything from decadent chocolates to do-it-yourself home brew kits, a culinary delight for every chef, hostess and epicurean.
The Maker Movement expands the Show’s innovation and design focus with a showcase of 35 Makers from Grommet. Be sure to stop by the Inventors Corner Pavilion to see housewares innovations and just-ready-for-market inventions. Then stroll down the aisle from the Inventors Corner to visit some of Shark Tank’s notable products from Lori Greiner. She brings 11 companies that have what it takes to build their entrepreneurial ideas into reality.
This year’s educational sessions include IHA’s color trend expert Leatrice Eiseman of the Pantone Color Institute with her annual color forecast; IHA’s lifestyle trend forecaster Tom Mirabile of Lifetime Brands examining the underlying consumer trends that drive housewares sales; and Warren Shoulberg of HFN/Gifts and Decorative Accessories leading a retailer/supplier panel on the convergence of housewares and giftware.
On Tuesday, we are pleased to welcome Gov. Mitt Romney, 2012 Republican presidential nominee and former governor of Massachusetts, as our Industry Breakfast speaker. Widely praised for his leadership as a public servant and businessman, in 2012 Romney was included on TIME magazine’s list of the “100 Most Influential People in the World.” He will share his insights on the current political environment and business today. Tickets are available at www.housewares.org or at the door.
We wish you a profitable 2015. Enjoy Chicago and the Show.
