George Watts Tea Shop Honored by James Beard Foundation

MILWAUKEE-Watts Tea Shop, housed in tabletop specialty store George Watts & Son, is one of five honorees for the 2011 James Beard Foundation Awards in its American Classics category.

"Our restaurant has always complemented our tabletop store and keeps the old tradition alive of having a Tea Room in conjunction with an exquisite home emporium," Sam Watts, CEO, told HFN in an email. "Our goal is to 'shout from the mountaintops' about this fabulous award and what it means to our community in Milwaukee, and the tabletop industry in general."

The Tea Shop will be recognized at an awards ceremony in May at Lincoln Center in New York.
