Las Vegas Market Opens

Las Vegas MarketLAS VEGAS-The Las Vegas Market opens today, kicking off a new Sunday to Thursday schedule, along with thousands of product debuts and tons of educational and networking opportunities.

Celebrity designer Monica Pedersen, always a much-seen face at the market, will be even more visible this time around with two new offerings--furniture at Abbyson Living (B-880) and textiles at Softline Home Fashions (C5-0103).

Several licenses in the Donny Osmond Home collection will launch in Las Vegas: A&B Home (B-476) for accent furniture and accessories, Anji Mountain (C-5-0427) for natural-fiber area rugs, Bougainvillea (B-335) for preserved floral, DecoBreeze (B-476) for floor and table fans, and Willowbrook (C-853) for scented envelope sachets.

Safavieh will expand its licensed line with designer Thom Filicia with lighting, which includes table lamps and Safavieh's first fixtures.

Attendees are invited to meet and brunch with designer Barry Dixon at Arteriors (B-360) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.

A plethora of new and relocated showrooms will open at market. Today, ribbon-cutting ceremonies include Orian (A-410) at 11 a.m., Kaleen (C-407) at 2:15 p.m. and Kenroy Home (C-606) at 4 p.m.

Tonight, WithIt, the women's leadership development network, will name and celebrate the winners of its WOW Awards, from 6:30-11 p.m. on the 16th Floor of Building B. At the event, Susan Gravely, founder and chief executive of Vietri, will receive the Legacy Award.

The Las Vegas Market opening night party also takes place tonight in the Grand Plaza from 6-8 p.m.
