Magisso Appoints Pregartner COO

NEW YORK-Magisso, the Finnish design brand, has named Sue Pregartner chief operating officer for Magisso North America, Inc. as it sets sights on the North American market. It is a new position for the company.

Pregartner, who reports to Juhani Siren, CEO and founder of Magisso, heads up Magisso operations in the U.S. and Canada. She most recently served as chief operating officer for Room Copenhagen. Prior to that she was president of iittala for 11 years.

"We are excited. Sue is a perfect addition to our Magisso team. She is smart and energetic," Siren said. "Her excessive knowledge on product-driven business, hands-on mentality and passion for Finnish design fit perfectly on the core values of Magisso and will help us reach our goals in North America."

Magisso was established in 2008 with a mission to create problem-solving kitchen gear that is unique in terms of function, design and user-friendliness. "I joined Magisso because of the team first, the products second. The team is fast paced, energetic, savvy and they clearly enjoy what they do. As for the products, they have the right balance of smart design and fun. Magisso's time is now," Pregartner said.
