Haier Opens New North American HQ

Haier AmericaWAYNE, N.J.-Haier America has opened its new North American headquarters here, moving it from New York City.

The facility, which measures 56,000 square feet, now houses 200 Haier staff members, with room to grow as the company increases its U.S. presence, according to a Haier statement. Adrian Micu, president and CEO of Haier America, said the company "is committed to become a brand-name presence in the U.S. and, as we realize new growth and our repositioning in this market, the new headquarters will allow us to accommodate that expansion."

Micu added that Haier has created a new vision which includes "repositioning our U.S. market strategy so that consumers will come to view our product line as more than a series of individual, quality appliances. Through increased awareness and confidence among American consumers in the Haier brand, they will come to realize Haier as the consumer choice for complete home solutions."
