Paula Deen to Launch Line with Jokari

Jokari will also unveil Pepsi- and Mountain Dew-branded items

CARROLLTON, Texas—Celebrity chef Paula Deen will launch baking mixes as well as holiday and everyday storage solutions with Jokari at next month’s International Home + Housewares Show. Jokari will also unveil more than 40 Pepsi- and Mountain Dew-branded items.

Deen’s easy-to-prepare baking mixes are based on favorite menu items from the celebrity chef’s restaurants, and include peanut butter fudge, “ooey-gooey” brownies and Deen’s gravy and biscuit recipes. Deen herself will be at Jokari’s booth, S1805, on March 6.

“She’s very passionate about the products that she’s introducing,” said Don Saller, CEO of Jokari, based here. “There is a story behind each one and I’m looking forward to her bringing her personality and energy to launch them in her style.”

This also marks Jokari’s first step into consumables. “This is a whole different arena for Jokari and is so meaningful for the future,” Saller said. “This will explode for us and it will all get started at the show.”

In addition to the mixes, Jokari’s line with Deen will also include holiday and everyday storage solutions that are available in toile prints that reflect personal aspects of Deen’s life. The holiday toile pattern includes Deen family heirlooms, while the everyday toile pattern showcases Deen’s home, boathouse and her beloved dogs.

In addition to Deen’s products, Jokari is launching more than 40 different Pepsi- and Mountain Dew-branded items, including both heritage and modern Pepsi logos.
