Downlite Opens Phoenix Plant, Introduces Quick-Response Bar-code Program

MASON, Ohio-Downlite has launched a new manufacturing and distribution facility in Phoenix, and will debut a new quick-response bar-code program during the upcoming New York Home Fashions Market.

The new plant is supporting the company's expansion of its synthetic-filled bed-pillow product line. It is capable of producing 40,000 pillows a day, and will employ 120 people by the end of 2016, Downlite said in a statement.

The new bar-code program will be part of a collaboration with Primaloft, a long-time partner of Downlite. The quick-response code technology will direct users of "smart" phones to a page on the Primaloft website,, with information about Primaloft-filled Downlite products.
