Walmart's Simon to Keynote NRF Retail's BIG Show

WASHINGTON-Bill Simon, president and CEO of Walmart U.S., will deliver the keynote address at Retail's BIG Show, the National Retail Federation's annual convention.

Simon's speech will be titled "A Job to Do: Retail's Role in an American Renewal," and is scheduled for Jan. 15 at 8:30 a.m. He will make the case that leadership is needed from within the retail industry to boost both the economy and job creation.

Simon became president and CEO of Walmart U.S. in 2010. This portion of Walmart posted revenues of $264 billion in fiscal 2012, and handles 140 million customers a week, according to an NRF statement.

Retail's BIG Show will take place from Jan. 13-16 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
