Gorham Launches Rick Bayless Collection

Gorham is partnering with chef Rick Bayless on a tabletop and housewares collection that will debut at the International Home + Housewares Show in Chicago.

The Mexican-themed collection will include cookware, cooking tools, tableware and serveware and will be produced under the Rick Bayless by Gorham brand. Further details of the collection were unavailable at press time.

"Rick Bayless has been shaping our image of authentic Mexican cuisine for years through his cookbooks, television shows and award-winning restaurants," said Lester Gribetz, president of Lenox. "Gorham is thrilled to bring his vision into kitchens and dining rooms all across America by creating a new and exciting tabletop and housewares collection."

The Chicago-based Bayless is the star of the public television series "Mexico - One Plate at a Time" and was a winner on Bravo's Top Chef Masters. He has authored eight cookbooks and is the owner of two award-winning restaurants in Chicago--Frontera Grill and Topolobampo. He opened two more restaurants in Chicago this year--XOCO, a quick serve restaurant featuring house-ground chocolate and wood-grilled tortas, and Tortas Frontera, which opened in downtown Chicago and in Terminals 1 and 3 at Chicago's O'Hare airport.

"I am very excited to partner with Gorham to provide consumers with tabletop and housewares products that capture my passion for preparing and serving Mexican dishes," Bayless said in a statement. "This line will continue to expand and will appeal to a broad range of consumers who want to experience the lifestyle associated with preparing and serving the Mexican cuisine that I have supported for over 25 years."

Gorham will hold a book signing event with Bayless at the Lenox/Gorham booth at the Housewares Show on Sunday, March 3 at 2 p.m.
