Ullman Named to Saks Board

NEW YORK-Saks Inc. has appointed Myron E. Ullman III, former J.C. Penney chairman and CEO, to its board of directors.

Stephen Sadove, Saks chairman and CEO, cited Ullman's exceptional retail and luxury goods experience and his strategic business background." Ullman served as J.C. Penney chairman and CEO from December 2004 until February of last year. His previous executive positions include directeur general of LVMH Moet Hennessey Louis Vuitton, chairman and CEO of DFS Group Limited, and chairman and CEO of Macy's.

Ullman currently serves on the boards of Starbucks and COFRA Group, and as deputy chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. He is also an advisor to the board of directors of the Retail Industry Leaders Association and is a past chairman of the National Retail Federation.
