Spode gets revamped
NEW YORK-The New York tabletop market begins today, accompanied by budding trees and the warmer temps that have finally arrived in New York.
That sense of renewal carries over into the permanent showroom buildings and tabletop company headquarters here in Manhattan, where there promises to be big debuts from both a product and a company standpoint.
Among the new brands is the Australian Maxwell & Williams, a full tabletop line to be distributed by Fitz and Floyd. The Echodesign collection and the Josie Natori collection are two new licensed lines backed by textiles brands. Other licensed new collections include the Aerin collection from Lenox, a Pepsi line from Circle Glass, Nambe dinnerware from Gibson and Nambe crystal from Rogaska, Dena dinnerware by Zrike, Laurie Gates flatware from Hampton Forge, and the Mario Batali collection from Dansk, among others. Spode is back in full swing with a collection of unbanded bone china with updated archival patterns.
The show takes place April 12-15 at Forty One Madison, 7 W New York, 230 Fifth Avenue and numerous showroom headquarters throughout the city.
