EPA Cites Home Depot as Energy Star Partner of the Year

ATLANTA-The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has named The Home Depot as a 2014 Energy Star Partner of the Year-Sustained Excellence.
The agency cited the retailer "for its outstanding contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions through promotion of energy-efficient products," according to a Home Depot statement. Home Depot has been an Energy Star partner of the EPA since 2001. The award recognizes Home Depot's efforts in increasing its Energy Star product assortment and its marketing and promotions, along with building consumer awareness and demand for Energy Star products.
