HIGH POINT, N.C.-Theodore Alexander has appointed Laurie Reed to the newly created position of vice president, visual display and fabric merchandising.

Reed has 25 years of industry experience, including positions with Henredon, Beacon Hill Showrooms, and Hickory White. For the past 13 years Reed was creative director for Century Furniture.

In her new role, Reed will have responsibility for the display of Theodore Alexander's 70,000 square-foot High Point showroom located at 229 West Russell Avenue as well as the company's 11,000 square-foot showroom located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She will also be charged with merchandising the fabric lines for Theodore Alexander Upholstery, Althorp Living History and Keno Bros. collections. Additionally, Reed will provide design direction for retail display projects. She will report to Russell Towner, president of Theodore Alexander USA, Inc.

"Due to the rapid growth of our upholstery division, the coordination of our visual display and fabric selections have become a high priority. Laurie has the perfect skill set and experience to pull these two elements together," Towner said.
