NEW YORK—Thom Filicia, the celebrity interior designer, has thrown his hat into the presidential ring with a tongue-in-cheek campaign.

Sponsored by Eastern Accents, which has a licensed textiles line with Filicia, the campaign includes its own website, as well as merchandise, such as “Thom Filicia for President” t-shirts and belts.

In a video on the website, Filicia announces from a podium that he is running for president, and how “together, we can make America beautiful again.” All Americans, including canine Americans, “deserve to live in style,” says Filicia, shown in the video interacting with his constituents. Going “bedroom to bedroom,” he will “be the tailor to stitch us back together ... The only thing dirty in my campaign are my thoughts and my martinis.”

The website also includes Filicia’s stance on such issues as “a change of bedding we can all believe in” and “no pillow left unfilled.”
