WOODRIDGE, ILL.—Daniel Dufresne has been appointed CEO of Trudeau Corporation, a leading supplier of kitchenware and tabletop products, taking over from Robert Trudeau, who will serve as chairman.

The board of directors and management team are unanimous in their belief that this is an opportune time to bring on board an outside CEO for the family-owned Canadian company, Trudeau said in a statement.

A graduate of McGill University, Dufresne has a strong background in general management, business development and commercial leadership in the consumer goods and retail sectors. He has a proven track record of delivering growth for major North American brands, including Nabisco, Molson and Loblaws, Trudeau said.

Philippe Trudeau will continue to oversee product development and the United States division, while Jacques Dubuc remains president of Trudeau Canada, Anne-Marie Trudeau manages sales to independent retailers, and Paul Trudeau directs international sales.

“Trudeau Corporation is well positioned for continued growth worldwide and the management team is enthusiastic about writing the next chapters for the Trudeau brand,” the chairman said.
