HACKENSACK, N.J.—German tabletop company Villeroy & Boch’s has opened a 1,600-square-foot U.S. flagship store here designed to replicate the latest generation of premium stores in Europe.
The new Villeroy & Boch store
The manufacturer once operated several stores in the United States but closed many of them over the past 10 years. It currently has a store in Princeton, N.J. and an outlet store in Maine, according to a story in NorthJersey.com.
The Villeroy & Boch shop, located at The Shops at Riverside, will showcase curated collections of tableware, flatware, glassware and giftware. Dinnerware selections will include bestsellers French Garden and NewWave, classics such as Petite Fleur and Old Luxembourg, and the new Passion Series for global food trends like barbecue, pasta and pizza. Glassware ranges from Grand Royal and Octavie collections as well as the Purismo and Boston series. Colorful vases are also part of the assortment.
In addition to adding the flagship Villeroy & Boch store, The Shops at Riverside mall is undergoing a renovation that will add a movie theater, restaurants and new retailers in the 100,000-square-foot space previously occupied by Saks Fifth Avenue.
