Vista Alegre Opens U.S. Division

NEW YORK-Portuguese tabletop company Vista Alegre has created a U.S. subsidiary, Vista Alegre USA, which will import and distribute its products throughout North America. The company's collections will be available at authorized retailers in the U.S. in April, following the company's official debut at the New York Tabletop Show.
"Vista Alegre USA offers the depth and breadth of a prestigious, innovative brand, supported by a new distribution facility with a dedicated customer service and operations team that will provide all U.S. logistical services," said Daniel Da Silva, president of Vista Alegre USA.
Marguerite Dorger, director of sales and business development for Vista Alegre USA, said, "The U.S. market is going to be amazed and delighted with the new collections that epitomize Vista Alegre's superior product quality and design."
Vista Alegre's product offerings represent a full spectrum of prices, from porcelain tapas bowls available for less than $10; to full-lead crystal wine decanters and five-piece boxed gifts set in the $150 to $200 range; to 70-piece dinner sets available for $10,000 and up. The company also works with a portfolio of designers, and recently introduced its Christian Lacroix Maison collection of dinnerware and giftware.
