WWRD: Not for Sale

WWRDNEW YORK-WWRD said that recently published reports that its owner, KPS Capital Holdings, is exploring a sale of the company are not true.

"WWRD is not for sale. The company remains entirely focused on growing its business around the world and its brand portfolio is in better shape than ever," said a WWRD spokesman.

Earlier this week a Reuters story, citing unnamed sources familiar with the company, reported that KPS, a New York-based buyout firm that in 2009 purchased WWRD, which includes the tabletop brands Waterford, Wedgwood and Royal Doulton, was in the early stages of exploring a sale of the company.
