DUQUESNE, Pa.-American Textile Co. has donated $10,000 in proceeds from sales of its Americana (Filled with Pride in America) pillow to Team Red, White and Blue, a group dedicated to connecting veterans to their communities through physical and social activities.

The donation was presented at a dinner in Pittsburgh on May 3. The following day, 50 veterans and family members ran to raise money for the veterans group in the Dick's Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon.

Lance Ruttenberg, American Textile's president, said the company's commitment to American veterans stems from its former CEO and current chairman, Jack Ouellette, a graduate of West Point who served in the U.S. Army. "His service (to the company) over the last few decades has helped the company grow and expand significantly," Ruttenberg said.
