NEW YORK-Joan Karron, executive vice president and principal of CHF Industries, will be among those honored by children's charity Kids In Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.) here tomorrow.

Five women will be honored for their contributions to children in need at the 5th Annual Women in Industry Awards Luncheon. Honorees, in addition to Karron, include Mary Gleason, president of the Schottenstein Luxury Group and brand president of Judith Leiber, designers Adrienne Vittadini and Taryn Rose; Lorna Nagler, president of Beall's Department Store; and Risa Goldberg and Leslie Venokur, founders of Big City Moms.

"We are recognizing this year's honorees for their significant accomplishments in the professional and philanthropic worlds," said Karen Bromley, co-founder of K.I.D.S. Celebrating 25 years in service, K.I.D.S. has provided more than 65 million underprivileged and disaster-struck children with close to one billion dollars of new clothing, toys, basic necessities, juvenile products, books and more, distributed through an established network of nearly 1,000 local community social service agencies in the U.S. and abroad.

Teri Agins, fashion journalist and author, will deliver the keynote address, and Melissa Russo, anchor for NBC New York, will serve as mistress of ceremonies.
