FRANKFURT, Germany--Messe Frankfurt has appointed Yvonne Engelmann as director for the Tendence and Ambiente team, as of Sept.  1.

Reporting to Nicolette Naumann, vice president for Ambiente and Tendence, Engelmann will take over the Giving section and assume responsibility for organizing that part of the show, revolving around individual gift ideas, trendy lifestyle products and high-end jewelry.

"I am very much looking forward to the new challenge and the great responsibility involved in taking over this exciting, innovative and creative section," Engelmann said.  "My aim is to continue with the on-going process of strategic development in the Giving section as an order platform and source of inspiration, in the interests of both exhibitors and visitors."

With more than 16 years of working in the trade show and event business, Engelmann has spent the last ten of years with the Messe Frankfurt Group, most recently as project manager for new-customer acquisition in the guest-event division.
