Gift Fair Opens Tomorrow

NEW YORK--The New York International Gift Fair opens its doors tomorrow at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Piers 92 and 94 here. The Fair also includes The New York Home Textiles Show.

GLM, the show's owner and manager, said the Gift Fair will feature an estimated 2,800 companies with 100,000 product lines from 46 countries throughout the world. GLM said it also expects some 35,000 attendees from all 50 states and 85 countries worldwide.

Among the show's highlights, GLM said, are the new Baby & Child, a juried division of 150 suppliers of upscale babies' and children's products; Handmade Global Design and Handmade Designer Maker, a reorganized handmade craft division with an estimated 560 artisans; and New York's Newest, a reintroduced division of 250 exhibitors new to NYIGF.

Showrooms in several New York City showroom buildings, including 7 West, 41 Madison and 230 Fifth Avenue will also be open during the fair dates.
