Gift Fair's Baby & Child Section Relocates, Changes Dates

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-The Baby & Child division of the New York International Gift Fair will move to hall 1D of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and will shift its dates to Aug. 19-22 for the upcoming summer show.

A statement from GLM, the Gift Fair's owner and manager, said the changes have been made to "increase category synergy between related product divisions." Randi Mohr, Baby & Child's sales manager, said the division's new adjacency to the General Gift section "will make it easier and more efficient for retailers to source and shop related product categories." Baby & Child exhibitors showcase bedding accessories and blankets, among other product categories.

At previous Gift Fairs, Baby & Child had been located in hall 1E of the Javits Center. According to a GLM spokeswoman, New York's Newest will move to Baby & Child's prior location from Pier 92 of the Passenger Ship Terminal, and Handmade Global Design is moving to the Level 4 Galleria at the Javits Center from hall 1D.

The Gift Fair as a whole is scheduled for Aug. 18-23 at the Javits Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Piers 92 and 94.
