GLM Launches Web Networking Site

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-GLM, the trade-show management company, has unveiled, a new Web site that enables retailers of gift and home products to network online.

The site includes store spotlights, product catalogs, resources for small businesses and a multidimensional, retailer-only community. Within the latter feature, retail executives who join the forum can build profiles by selecting "tags" to describe their store type, job responsibility, retail experience and product categories. The forum includes a messaging system, demographic and tag-search tools to help a member find a retailing mentor.

The forum also allows members to participate in discussion groups on topics such as social media, customer service, in-store events, staffing and recruitment, visual merchandising and product finds.
