Hammer Named CEO of Perfect Fit

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Textiles industry veteran Dan Hammer has been named chief executive officer of Perfect Fit Industries, the basic-bedding manufacturer.

Hammer has served in a number of executive positions with textiles firms. He was president of Dan River Global Consumer Products, which was liquidated two years ago. Prior to that, he was president of The Bibb Co. (which Dan River acquired in the 1990s), and held various posts with Springs Industries.

Last week, Perfect Fit was acquired by The Anderson Group in an asset sale/purchase. Founded 78 years ago, the company has manufacturing facilities in North Carolina, New Hampshire, Indiana and California.

Jeff Chilton continues as president in charge of sales and marketing and reports to Hammer.
