Hanes Line to Launch at WestPoint Home

NEW YORK-Next week's New York Home Fashions Market will mark the first appearance of WestPoint Home's Hanes line of bedding and bath.

The company finalized its agreement in June with Hanesbrands, the brand's parent company, for Hanes sheets, bed ensembles and accessories, bath towels and accessories, blankets, throws, down comforters, pillows and mattress pads. All of these categories will be represented in the WestPoint showroom next week. "It's the most highly recognized apparel brand, and the line will be all about comfort inside and out," said Nancy Golden, WestPoint's vice president of marketing and brand management.

Hanes will be among the company's brands featured in the showroom's new back-to-school section. WestPoint is making a major statement for back-to-school merchandise next week. Among the other brands represented will be Izod, Caribbean Joe, Martex and the company's new towel program, Color Remedy, a line of stain-resistant and benzoyl peroxide-resistant towels geared toward the teenage demographic. Benzoyl peroxide is an ingredient in many anti-acne preparations.
