Hong Kong Home Shows to Offer Housewares, Textiles

Hong Kong Fairs Attendance Up 8.5 Percent

HONG KONG-The HKTDC Hong Kong Houseware Fair and the HKTDC Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair are slated to run concurrently from April 20-23 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Houseware Fair will feature 16 regional pavilions including ASEAN Select, which will present products from Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. A highlighted zone at the fair will be the Hall of Elegance, which will feature leading brands and designer collections from exhibitors from 11 countries and regions. Another section will be the World of Fine Dining, which will spotlight the latest trends in tableware, kitchenware and bar accessories.

The textiles and furnishings fair will present exhibitors from China, India, Australia, Taiwan, Portugal and the Czech Republic--with the latter two countries being represented for the first time at the fair.

The Hall of Glamour zone will present high-end and branded furnishings and textiles, such as handmade carpets, poufs and cushions. New to the fair will be the Design Solutions and Trade Services zone, which will highlight designers from the Hong Kong Designers Association and Plant 216, a design company. This zone will offer advice to buyers on material sourcing and design solutions. Exhibitors of "green" textiles and furnishings will also be a feature, presenting products made with sustainable, recyclable and reusable materials, especially for hotel chain buyers.
