IFDA New York Chapter Sponsors Design Walkathon

NEW YORK-The New York chapter of the International Furnishings and Design Association will serve as a sponsor for the "Design Walk at High Line Park" on Oct. 2.

The walkathon is part of IFDA's effort to build scholarships, increase grant funding and support a variety of educational programs through the association's Educational Foundation. Founded in 1970, the foundation has served as IFDA's philanthropic arm in its campaign to benefit students and professionals. The goal of the walkathon is to increase endowment levels and expand funding for industry-related grants and student scholarships.

IFDA said walkers should meet at the entrance to High Line Park at the corner of Gansevoort Street and 10th Avenue here, between 9:30 and 10 a.m. The walk will finish at the corner of 20th Street and 10th Avenue at about 12:30 p.m.
