Food for Thought
What we eat from farm to fork is examined in the new exhibition "Our Global Kitchen: Food, Nature, Culture," now at the American Museum of Natural History. Pantone's Color of the Year: Emerald
"Green is the most abundant hue in nature--the human eye sees more green than any other color in the spectrum," said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, which annointed emerald as the color for 2013. A contrast to last year's invigorating tangerine tango, emerald (Pantone 17-5641) is a lush hue that promotes balance and harmony, bringing "a sense of clarity, renewal and rejuvenation."
