Lombardi, New 295 CEO, Sets Agenda for Showroom Building
March 1, 2011,
NEW YORK-Lou Lombardi, president and chief executive officer of the 295 Fifth Ave. textiles showroom building, has slated an overhaul of the venerable building.
Lombardi, who took his post on Jan. 1, succeeded Claude Litton, who served as president and CEO for 32 years and established himself as the face of 295. In an interview yesterday with HFN, Lombardi said his mission is "to make (295) look like a 21st century building." Lombardi's plan, which has the backing of Manhattan Properties, owner of the building, includes painting and redecorating all of the hallways, cleaning and polishing the marble in the halls and elevators, and hanging new directory signs on each floor.
