N.Y. Gift Fair Opens this Weekend

NEW YORK-The New York International Gift Fair, the last of the summer gift shows, begins this weekend.

The show adopts a new five-day format, opening Saturday and closing Wednesday, rather than Thursday. The show takes place at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Piers 92 and 94.

Three product divisions--Baby & Child, Handmade Global Design and New York's Newest--move to new locations within the Javits Center. This show also marks the second annual presentation of the Gourmet Housewares Show and the introduction of Artisan Resources, a new complementary trade show which will run concurrently with NYIGF, taking place at Pier 92. A welcome reception hosted by show owner and organizer GLM will take place there tomorrow from 5-6 p.m.

More information about the show and its slate of educational seminars and events can be found at http://nyigf.com/Home.aspx.
