NY Now Offers Readiness Training for Winter Market

NY NowWHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-GLM is offering a four-part "Market Readiness" program for the winter NY Now show, addressing marketing and selling strategies, trade show operations and lead follow-up. The free series, which is produced jointly by NY Now and Right Angle Strategies, includes three pre-show webinars, one post-show webinar and free, 15-minute business consultations at market.

"Participants will come away with actionable steps for maximizing their investment in the winter 2014 edition of NY Now."

Three pre-show webinars will focus on pre-show marketing, sales techniques and trade show operations. The fourth and final webinar, which will be held one week after NY Now, will address market follow-up. The first session, "Marketing Tools to Make Your Show a Success," will be lead by Right Angle Strategies and PR expert Cathy Steel of Steel Associates. Topics will include pre-show direct marketing, advertising and public relations, telemarketing, onsite promotions and more. It will take place Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 2-3:30 p.m. EST.

The second pre-show webinar, "How to Attract Buyers and Close the Sale," will be lead by Stu Teller and Laura Blunt of Right Angle Strategies, and Russ Jones of Ivystone. The session will address creating captivating booth space, capturing buyer interest, buyer interaction; and techniques to close the sale and obtain leads. It will take place Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 2-3:30 p.m. EST.

The third session, which addresses trade show operations and logistics, will be produced by GLM's operations staff. Topics include the NY Now set-up manual and outline time-saving pre-show operations, set-up specifics and break-down instructions. This session will run twice on Wednesday, Dec. 4. The session for exhibitors located at the Piers takes place from 1-2 p.m. EST; and the session for exhibitors located at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center takes place from 3-4 p.m. EST.

In the final, post-show, webinar, "How to Manage Orders and Leads Generated," Right Angle Strategies will present an overview of successful strategies for following-up on leads and managing orders. Topics include order and payment processing, capturing leads and follow-up, and working with sales agencies. Tips for maximizing post-show leads through nynow365.com also will be covered. The session will take place Wednesday, Feb. 12, from 2-3:30 p.m. EST.
