Pantone Announces Fall Fashion Color Report

CARLSTADT, N.J. -- Color authority Pantone has unveiled its Pantone Fashion Color Report Fall 2011, which includes the upcoming top 10 colors for women's fashion. Released to coincide with this week's Fashion Week in New York, the report is available for free download at pantone.com/fall2011, and includes designer sketches, quotes and head shots.

Pantone's top 10 colors for women's fashion this fall are: Bamboo (Pantone 14-0740), Emberglow (Pantone 17-1547), Honeysuckle (Pantone 18-2120), Phlox (Pantone 19-2820), Cedar (Pantone 16-0526), Deep Teal (Pantone 19-4914), Coffee Liqueur (Pantone 18-0930), Nougat (Pantone 16-1320), Orchid Hush (Pantone 13-3805) and Quarry (Pantone 15-4305). For the season, designers are looking for texture, contrast and color, Pantone said in a release, such as pairing menswear with feminine twists and warm prints with cool metals, as well as incorporating both old and new influences.

"Designers take a painterly approach to fall 2011 by artfully combining bright colors with staple neutrals, reminiscent of how an artist would construct a stunning work of art," said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director, Pantone Color Institute. "Much like a painter's masterpiece, there is a certain romance to this season's palette."
