Portico's Zaroff to Address GOTS Seminar

Marci ZaroffMarci Zaroff

NEW YORK-Marci Zaroff, recently named chief marketing and sustainability officer with Portico Brand Group, will speak at the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) seminar here on June 28.

A long-time activist for eco-friendly products, Zaroff has played a role in defining U.S. global organic-fiber processing standards and in the development of the world's first Fair Trade Textile Certification, according to a Portico statement. GOTS defines the requirements for the organic status of textiles, including garment labeling.

The seminar will provide a GOTS overview, case studies of companies certified to GOTS, and a walk-through of the certification process.
