Revman to Move Showroom, Offices

NEW YORK-Revman will relocate its showroom and offices to the Empire State Building in time for the September New York Home Fashions Market next year.

The company has signed a lease to take up the building's entire 70th floor, where it will have its showroom, offices and breakout conference rooms.

Revman will hold next spring's textiles market at its current location, 1211 Sixth Ave. The company will be vacating that location, which has served as its offices and showroom since its founding in 1989.

Explaining the move, Rich Roman, Revman's president and CEO, said the new space is "more cost-effective" for the company and more conveniently located for customers for market weeks, given that it is near the Fifth Avenue showroom buildings.

Many expected 2016 would be a banner year, but the political and economic climate softened consumer confidence. It was also a year consumers spent more lavishly on home remodeling rather than decorating.
