Sferra Throw Wins Best of Market at NYIGF

NEW YORK-Sferra's Marmi Italian Printed Silk Throw received the Best of Market award among new textiles products featured at this week's New York International Gift Fair.

Marmi is a limited-edition luxury throw featuring an arabesque pattern that incorporates geometric design motifs, and reverses to a white cashmere. The product was one of five overall that were rated among the standouts in the At Home featuring Home Textiles section of the Gift Fair. Judges selected one overall market winner plus winners in the categories of bedding, bath, dining and home accessories.

The winner in the bed category was LuRu Home for its Sleeve Pillow, made from long rolls of handwoven, indigo-dyed cotton embroidered with bands of pattern and alternating white lines. Matouk's Abstractions, a line of abstract graphic-printed beach towels, took the honor in the bath category.

In the dining category, Anali Exquisite Needle work was cited for its Chevron Placemat & Napkin, a set of European table linens embroidered in brilliant color combinations. Alicia Adams Alpaca's vicuna throw, a dark wheat-colored throw made from vicuna fiber, was the winner in the home accessories category.

Danielle Giacopenello, sales manager for At Home featuring Home Textiles, said the winners "were clear standouts in terms of design creativity and innovation. These companies set a new standard of excellence in home textiles design."
