WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J.-Basic-bedding manufacturer Sleep Innovations and Flexible Foam Products, a manufacturer of polyurethane foam and carpet cushions, have merged and adopted the new corporate name of Innocor Inc.

In addition, Carol Eicher, previously business president of Dow's global coating and construction division, has been named president and CEO of Innocor. Serving as chairman of Innocor's board is Richard Brown, managing director of Sun Capital Partners, of which Innocor is an affiliate.

Innocor will design and manufacturer advanced memory-foam products including bed pillows, mattresses, mattress toppers, bath products, kitchen products, work-space products, loungeable products and pet products. It will market these items under the brand names Sleep Innovations, Novaform, Comfort Co. and Stanley Utility Mats, among other labels.

In an Innocor statement, Brown said the name Innocor was chosen to reflect "that innovation is at the core of everything we do."

Eicher said in the statement, "From our rich tradition of research-based innovations to our deep knowledge of industry trends, Innocor Inc. is committed to translating the science of foam into true product solutions for our partners."

Prior to joining Dow, Eicher was global business director of Rohm and Haas' primary materials division. Her career also includes manufacturing positions with Ashland Chemical Co. and E.I. du Pont de Nemours.
