Sunham Home Licenses with Chris Madden

PORT CHESTER, N.Y.-Chris Madden Inc. has reached an agreement with Sunham Home Fashions to produce a licensed line of soft bath goods.

The line will include towels, rugs and shower curtains. Madden was the first design correspondent for "The Oprah Show," the host of her own television show on HGTV for eight seasons, author of 18 books and editor for a number of magazines.

According to a statement from Chris Madden Inc., the company's licensed products have generated about $2 billion in sales. The designer's partners have included J.C. Penney, Mohawk Home and Bassett Furniture.

Jane Cooney, vice president of Sunham's bath division, said, "The Chris Madden brand is one that clearly resonates with today's consumer, and this product launch will bring a fresh, new design perspective that capture's Chris' unmistakable style."
