WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-Thanks to increased order writing among attendees, the summer edition of NY Now, which took place from Aug. 16-20, “was one of the strongest editions … in recent memory,” according to a statement from the trade show.
Christian Falkenberg, the show’s director and senior vice president, said, “Anecdotally, many exhibitors reported that the show was the best of the industry’s summer markets, with brisk business, strong order writing and increased international participation.”
The show’s more than 25,000 attendees came from all 50 U.S. states and nearly 80 countries, with Canada, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Australia and the United Kingdom representing the top sources of international attendance.
NY Now also featured a four-day schedule of educational and social programming, with more than 40 educational sessions, industry social events, product awards and feature displays. The seminar series covered topics such as design and color trends, social media and online marketing, merchandising and retail strategies, and importing.
The winter 2015 edition of NY Now is scheduled for Jan. 31-Feb. 4. It will take place at the show’s usual venues, the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Pier 94 in New York City.
